and judicially confessed that he was guilty of the sin of fornication with Jean Miller
there, was exhorted to repentance, was summoned apud acta [in the course
of the
proceedings] to compear before the Session against this day eight days: the officer is
ordered to summon the woman to compear before the Session against the same time
the Session closed with? Prayer

Compeared John Inches and Jean Miller who were guilty of the sin
of fornication they were both exhorted to repentance the Session appointed
the man to appear to be rebuked before the congregation against this day

John Inches was rebuked for the sin of ante nuptial fornication
with Jean Miller dismissed and paid as penalty 0-3-0-0
[probably 3 shillings = about £10 today]
The minister gave in the sixty pounds sterling taken out of the Box
fourteenth December last as the Bank of Perth would not take it to pay
interest for the same which money was putt in to the Box
Andrew Stirton reported that he and Thomas Shilgaur had collected
through the ground of Delven for John Chalmers Child five ferlots oat
meal two ferlots barley meal and thirteen shillings sterling of money
[1 firlot = ¼ boll = 35lbs]
